i dont see the need to buy it, only if you dont have a dvd player, vhs player, comp w/ internet and still have a blu-ray. who suggested this?

everything will be put on to blu-ray over time...as most things were put on dvd once they came out.
blu-ray will in time become more popular than dvd's...so stands to reason that older stuff will become blu-ray even if they are already on a vary of formats.

i guess so. but blu ray means all your dvds you bought go in the bin overtime cuz you just waste money on blu ray

i never said you should buy it! i just saw the thing and putted it here! just so that you're informed with future things that will come out!

well i still have vhs's from many years ago that haven't been binned but overtime we will replace the main ones..... its just the way technology goes it improves and something new comes along to replace whatever was before it.

ie tapes replace LP's , and the CD's replaced tapes....
look at tv's from what they use to be to what they are now.

I don't see the difference betwee blu-ray & DVD to be honest - im gonna stick to my dvd's but like Steph said blu ray is just another replacement for a dvd, just like a dvd was a replacement for a vhs, all in all it's just technology movin on & busineses makin money out of us. And i also have a fair few of Vhs tapes... it's not like you can't watch them anymoe as you can!

i believe the picture quality is meant to be a hell of alot better than dvd etc....i wouldn't know if its as good as its meant to be, as i've never actually watched a blu ray lol

but blu ray will become old once they make somthing new. some with PS. it was replaced by PS2 and now theres PS3. but thats not the same because with those ideas you can see why the ps3 is better than the ps2

I havnt watched a blu-ray either yet lol but still if people want better quality & these blu-ray disks supposebly give better qaulity then im sure some people will go for it, but im happy with a normal DVD

I love the ps3 Coldwater - i've loved all there consoles, obviously they just get better.

well you can't bring out a new console without it being better than what was out before it....also with technology it has to keep getting better so the companies can make money.

I've had ps1 and 2...not got a ps3 tho i think we have enough with the xbox360 and wii.

i had a psp but it broke, so i got a psp3000. more or less the same. i could no difference
