What is reputatation? [Solved]

I see a thing in my profile called reputation.
Waht is it?

If you look to the right of your post you will see a + sign & a - sign... & basically if someone reads your post and presses the plus sign you will gain 1+ reputation point.... if they click the minus you will lose -1 reputation point...

It basically gives other member's a chance to see if your posting relevant stuff if you are you obviously will have quite alot of reputation points if your not then you won't have so many but there is the case of people not even noticin this system which will bring members to not havin any whatsoever anyway!
